quenteI've been trapped into reading through the Eagle of the Ninth fics on AO3 recently. I think it stemmed from a chat with Bunn, and it's been impossible to break free. I have several WIPs that I'd like to be working on, but nah, let's just read this unrelated fandom for a while.
Stuck: Sophos and Helen fic for a Queen's Thief Yuletide treat. I'm done with my assignment, which I wrote for Goblin Emperor...but I really wanted to get a QT fic in before the fandom is no longer eligible for Yuletide.
But! I don't think it's gonna happen. My brain is weird: either I write, or I don't. Either I'm in the mood to sit and pour 10k words into a paper, or I don't.
Prior to this year, I averaged about one fic a year. It's definitely been different in the Silmarillion fandom, and I appreciate all the mentoring and prompts and support and beta-ing. It feels good!
But apparently not right now. Right now I just feel like curling into a ball and reading.
